About

My name is Dave, though many know me as MrRailway.  A lifelong railway enthusiast, my love for the full-sized railway has naturally translated into a passion for the miniature world of model railways.

With over 25 years of experience in all aspects of railway modelling, I began—like many—with OO gauge trainset before progressing to kit building and modifying Ready-to-Run models.  Over the years, I’ve explored various scales, but my true passion has always been for O gauge, the superior scale for realism and fine detail.

When I’m not working on mine or my clients models,  you’ll find me driving the real thing—I’m a mainline train driver by profession.  And when I’m not around trains, I’m usually outdoors somewhere, at my allotment, or in the hills, enjoying long walks with my wife and our working Cocker Spaniel.
